Tracking Your Classes: Tips & Tricks

Hey there! Welcome back to our blog. Today, we’re diving into some super handy tips for tracking your classes. By logging what you learnt, noting challenges, and celebrating those small victories, you can make the most of your fitness journey. Let’s get into the detail...

Tips & Tricks To Get The Most From Your Classes

Keeping track of your classes can really boost your progress and keep you motivated. Here’s how you can do it effectively!

Tracking Your Classes

First up, track your classes. Each time you attend a class, jot down the date, the class type, and the key things you practised. This helps you keep a clear record of what you’ve been working on.

Example Entry

Here’s an example: "15th June, CRPD Cardiff, Pole Dance Intermediates Class with Georgia - Worked on reverse grab spins, side climbs, and butterflies." Simple, right? This keeps your practice organised and lets you see your progress over time.

Noting Down Challenges

Next, noting down challenges. It's important to recognise what you found difficult during each class. Maybe you struggled with holding a pose or nailing a transition. Write it down.

Example Entry for Challenges

Example: "Had trouble maintaining grip on the silks during climbs. Need to work on arm strength." This awareness helps you focus your practice and set goals.

Celebrating Small Victories

Don't forget to celebrate small victories. Did you hold a pose longer than before? Finally get that tricky transition? Record it!

Example Entry for Victories

Example: "Held a straddle invert for 5 seconds on my bad side! Felt more balanced and confident." Celebrating these moments keeps you motivated and acknowledges your hard work.

Tips for Consistent Journaling

Here are some tips to help you maintain consistency in your journaling:

  • Set a Routine: Dedicate a few minutes after each class to fill out your entries.

  • Be Honest: Reflect on both successes and challenges.

  • Stay Positive: Focus on your progress, no matter how small.

  • Review Regularly: Look back at your entries to see how far you’ve come and adjust your goals as needed.

Encouragement and Motivation

Consistency is key. The more you track, the more insights you gain into your journey. This helps you stay on course and reach your goals faster.
